The Objectives of WAHS

 

To promote an interest in and the study and conservation of herptiles and their habitats.

To provide a representative body for engaging constructively with the Department of Environment and Conservation or a   like statutory body.

To provide a forum for fellow herpetologists to meet and share information and experiences.

To encourage and promote responsible husbandry techniques for those maintaining herptiles in captivity.

To encourage the distribution of information on the captive or natural history of herptiles.

To promote an increased awareness of herpetology in members of the general public.
